ABOUT US
Maui's Monk Seal Volunteers are made up of NOAA employees, contractors, and dedicated volunteers who respond to Hawaiian Monk Seal sightings, observe and record data about Hawaiian Monk Seals, educate the public about Hawaiian Monk Seals, and model responsible monk seal viewing. Maui's Monk Seal Volunteers are also involved in the S.O.S. (Save the Species): Monk Seals Educational Programs in Maui County's public and private schools. Approved volunteers are available to share information about the Hawaiian Monk Seals through Public Outreach to civic groups, marine themed events, and other public group educational opportunities. Marine Mammal office and operational support is also provided by Maui's Monk Seal Volunteers.
